Bleach: The Manga

Ichigo Kurosaki, a 15-year-old boy, can see spirits, other than that he was a normal boy. Β One day, Ichigo meets a girl called Rukia who is a shinigami,or a Soul reaper. Rukia came from Soul Society, an afterlife place for the good souls who died in the real world. Rukia fights Hollows, or Monster souls that can harm both humans and souls. When Ichigo and his family was attacked by a Hollow, Rukia came to help them only to be severely wounded and barely able to fight. Β Having that in mind, Rukia tells Ichigo that there’s a way to save his family from the Hollow and that is for Ichigo to become a shinigami which is for him to be killed by the sword of Rukia so that she could transfer some of her power to Ichigo. Β She ends up giving most of her power to Ichigo, and since then Ichigo has become a shinigami.

This manga gets you really hyped about what might happen next especially since it has action, and because of the little plot twists that happen during the manga. The manga has a light tone to it because Bleach is a shonen book which means that it is more focused on elementary school kids through high school kids, but the book occasionally has some dark moments.

Ichigo is the type of person that would go out of his way to help a person in need which is a good thing but sometimes gets him injured. And Rukia is also a person that would help people but only at times when she is able.

The artwork is very unique and you won’t be able to see this art style anywhere. Also the artwork is not cute chibi (which it does occasionally have) but in a boyish style (like shown in the picture below.)bleach chibi . Bleach Manga cover
