When I read this book, it reminded me instantly of The Ugly Duckling and it felt like he was misunderstood and he was not ready to bloom yet. It wasn’t his turn to shine yet. Then, Thanksgiving rolled along, he bloomed, and became the star of the show.
Over the Moon talks about adoption. A couple is waiting for their adopted child to be born. Everyone keeps talking about the baby and the couple always says ‘Oh yes, very soon’. Finally their child has been born and they set out to receive their child. This story talks about the couple’s adventure to wait and receive their child and tell them how they got them. This book is recommended for children who want to know what adoption is about and the journey of adoption. When I read it, even though I’m not adopted, this is super warming and a loving book for adopted children and for children who are understanding adoption.
