She finds herself face to face with a demon who moments before, looked like a regular boy. She&#8217;s not in any danger because the demon is\u00a0captured by what they call &#8220;<em>shadowhunters<\/em>.&#8221; Clary is the only mundie (the shadowhunter name for humans) who can see and hear them, which leads to Clary&#8217;s mother being hunted and taken, by someone they don&#8217;t know. The search for her mother leads Clary to the shocking truth about her past and who she really is.<\/p>\n<p>I recommend this book if you are willing to spend a few weeks reading it because its a really long book, and its apart of a series.
